Are My Credentials Secure?

Some credentials are secure while others are not.

Your Hospitium password is stored as a one-way hash and we have no way of knowing what it is.

Your Facebook & Twitter accounts are connected using OAuth. That allows us to never even see your credentials. You can revoke Hospitium's access at anytime.

Wordpress and Adopt-A-Pet accounts are stored in plain text. This is due to us needing the credentials so we can create posts on your behalf. We do encrypt the passwords with a salt only we know, but we still strongly recommend creating a user in Wordpress specifically for Hospitium. You can then delete that user if ever needed.

All passwords are transmitted over https.

For further protection you should use strong unique passwords on every site you visit. http://strongpasswordgenerator.com/ can help.
